I Was
I Was
Written by Brant Brown at Trent University, Trail College, Peterborough Jan 26.1984
Brant was a mysterious person and had tremendous knowledge in metakinesis and out of body experiences, I kept asking him “Who are you?” so he wrote this poem for me.
On the winds I was blown,
From a land across the sea.
To fall by your side,
And guide your hand.
“Who are you?” You may ask.
“Of the earth I was made
Of the sea, of air and fire too.
All things are of me
And I of them
We are brothers, We are one
We are all.
Why I am here, you do not know.
Why I am here I cannot say.
I’m here, it’s enough that I am.
When dies* comes no more
And Moira*grasps my hand,
To the winds I shall return
And be blown to new lands
Cross the sea…cross the sea
(And be blown to new lands across the sea)
Whip the tears from your cheeks
My child, my child whip your tears.
And remember the legacy I leave.
In the whisper of the wind and the rustle of the leaves
I will be, you will see, I will be
On the winds I was blown,
From a land across the sea.
To fall by your side,
And guide your hand.
*** dies = day in Latin ***moira = fate from Greek
