Just a Dream
Just a Dream
Written by Bianca Toronto 1991
Last night I had a dream
He held me tight down by the stream
The rolling water a happy noise
Yes, darling, we made a choice
We planned our wedding day
Sometimes within the month of May
We were to be dressed in blue
Thee was no crowd, just me and you
My hair was braided with wildflowers
Feelings were on high towers
With Mennonite rites, we signed the matrimonial scroll
And rain of rice begun to fall
Blooming around us Queen Anne’s lace
Cannot forget the look in your face
We exchanged our vows and then just left
Hoping our love would never end.
